Men's Programs

Most men have grown up without fathers, elders to initiate them into a sacred sense of masculinity and ground them in the spiritual and emotional life of men. Having no positive, male models of personal power, they react to the omnipresent feminine by pushing it away, degrading and trying to dominate it in themselves or women. Overly passive or aggressive, unable to commit or leave, men are often at their core, lost.

For all our technological and material prowess, modern men live in the smallest psychic space of anyone in history. Today’s man often feels alone, isolated, and estranged from the great rhythms of nature. He sacrifices himself and labors, often at the expense of his health, in a meaningless pursuit of success, unable to define the "good life” beyond the ability to buy more stuff. Yet he knows no alternative, and like the athlete rushing back onto the football field, most men today are playing hurt.
