Discover a Dream Worth Living
Vermont, August 4-7, 2017
We live within a magical universe, and yet we’re often unaware of what’s within and all around us. In this workshop we’ll dive deep, immersing ourselves in dreams and nature, moving beyond the boundaries of personal reality into broader, fluid, and more imaginative experiences of ourselves and the world.
We sit in the present, at the axis where past and future meet. We have a decision to make: will our lives and identity be determined by where we have come from or where we are going?
The myth of modern psychology — its focus and truth — is that our lives are determined by our past: our personal history, wounds and childhood experience. The myth of the ancient world… its focus and truth… is that our lives are, or can be, determined from another place — our destiny and future — if we follow the voice of the spirit, the whisper of dreams, the calling of our souls.
In the ancient maps of consciousness non-rational states were cultivated, and a cornucopia of methods were developed to achieve expanded energies and states of ecstatic union. Through simple but profound practices, we will reclaim and remember this natural heritage of being human, experiencing a larger sense of ourselves and the alchemy it can bring to our lives and people.
The workshop takes place in Putney, VT. For a fuller description, please contact us by mail or email, and we will send a flyer to you.
The fee is $700, which includes food and tenting space. Indoor beds are available at extra cost. To register, please send a deposit of $350 via PayPal or mail.
Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent directions as to where we will meet and a list of what to bring.
Full payment is due 30 days before the program starts. Barring exceptional circumstances, deposits cannot be refunded after that time.
Over these four days, men and women will be guided to deeper levels of their being, to a vision beyond their personal stories. Facing and healing our past and personal history is a prerequisite for broader states of awareness, but by itself, insufficient. Dreams are an opening to a larger story, each one an invitation to explore beyond everyday boundaries. In dreams, life is limitless; time is fluid; our sense of self unbounded. What luxury to spend several days immersed in this realm during the beautiful Vermont summer!
We’ll share exercises for finding our true nature in nature, processes to embrace the unknown and align ourselves with energies that are immediate and eternal. Learning to perceive the ‘Spirit in all things’ as a living presence in our lives, we’ll dance with the ephemeral tracks of dream until we find solid footing on a path with heart.
Nature is the visible face of the spirit. It is to nature — both the outer mother, Gaia, and our own internal nature — that the soul finds rest, renewal, and vision. There we come closer to the Source, the wellspring of life where Earth, Spirit, Nature, and God are one.
This workshop will be led by Sparrow Hart and Lauren Chambliss, with assistance from Len Fleischer. See the “About Us” page for guide bios.
