Circles of Air, Circles of Stone provides the aprrentice and intern opportunities in two different areas:

• The Vision Quest

• The Search For Soul

Vision Quest Apprenticeships emphasize developing the skills and personal qualities necessary to safely and successfully guide people through modern day vision fasts and rites of passage. This involves both the mastery of a body of knowledge -- the myths, traditions, methods, and processes of quests for vision that have been developed and adapted over the millennia -- and developing the expertise, attitudes, and abilities to apply these teachings in a modern context and lead groups into deep encounters with both the inner and outer wilderness.

These trainings are personal -- designed to address your specific needs and abilities -- and include discovering, claiming, and developing your purpose, unique gifts and “medicine“ that you can bring to your community and people.

Apprenticing in the Search for Soul explores the art of leading groups and workshops that focus on deep core issues of the human experience. The core of this work is the encounter with self, others, soul and spirit at the fluid boundary where nature and human nature meet.

Modern psychology is focused on the past: how our personal history, wounds, and childhood directs and drives our present. Ancient and soul-centered practices activate the adult, affirming that we are defined and determined by where we are going as much as by where we have come from, and provide ritual forms and context where our vision, calling, or gift can be discovered, claimed, and shared.

Apprenticeship in The Search for Soul involves developing skills for working with people including, but beyond the limits of traditional therapy, and developing the ability to lead groups where soul, spirit, vision, and values meet the concrete concerns of real people living in the world.
